Bob Singer is one of the most important artists in the history of Hanna-Barbera Studios, and in his 27 years with the studio he contributed to virtually ever hit show. A true jack-of-all-trades, he worked as animator, character designer, layout and background artist and even helped with writing. He was also the founding creator of Hanna-Barbara’s Character Design Department. This is an original Bob Singer pencil drawing created for the for the limited edition cel titled “Play Ball!” It features over 30 characters and the cel that was created from it sold out over 25 years ago. It’s rendered in graphite with red pencil on pan animation paper measuring 11″ x 25″.
