A wonderful look behind the scenes of Hanna-Barbera. Doug Wildey was one of the concept artists and creators. Doug is the author of this images (some pure graphite, some ink and hand-colored) for a pitch for a series starring the lovely Ventura and her Griffon. Notes include animation directions for diving, hovering, flying, and walking. Gorgeous work and a shame it was never produced as a series.

Reportedly part of a pitch to Hanna-Barbera for an action/adventure cartoon, this model sheet illustration features Barbara, a 15 year old “vivacious adventuresome” type. The work is ink and color marker over graphite on 13.5″ x 10.5″ Bristol board.
