Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines Concept Drawings Group of 17 (Hanna-Barbera, 1969)
This show (originally titled Stop the Pigeon) was designed by legendary character designer and layout artist Jerry Eisenberg. This is a series of 17 early drawings of Dick Dastardly, his crew, and other incidental characters on various sizes of paper, rendered in pen and ink and colored marker. This is a great look into the early makings of this fan favorite series. This show premiered on 9/13/69; by then, Dick Dastardly appeared with a completely different look than the initial character designs. A nice piece of Hanna-Barbera history. Many of the drawings are signed “Jerry“.
